Q+A Session @ Ignite Youth - 5/26/19

I had the honor of being invited by Pastor Isaiah Bosc as a guest speaker to Ignite Youth in Avondale, AZ on May 26, 2019.

Students submitted questions via social media that they would like to discuss for this Q+A session:

  1. Why do people suffer from depression?

  2. Is it scary being an adult?

  3. What is marriage all about?

  4. If there are thousands of other planets and galaxies, why would God choose us when we’re so little compared to everything else?

  5. How can I deal with my friends leaving me behind and lying to me?

  6. How do I avoid dry seasons in my life while still being committed to the things I’m committed to?

  7. How can I encounter God personally?

Creative Space for Creatives

A look inside a creative mind —>
Is there enough natural light?
Is there high energy allowed in the space?
Is it too cluttered or are there distractions that will take away from my creative flow?
Is it a free open space for me to move around?
Can I be messy during my creative process?
•••
These are just a few elements I sort through when in the creative zone. I’m a complete nut 🥜. Anyone relate?!
•••
My office space was so uninviting for my creative flow. It was hard to focus and have freedom to flow in my nutty creative brain. So, I decided to creatively transform my workspace to inspire more creativity. It’s a creative work in process but I’m liking it. Feels SO good to know I’m right where God called me to be And doing just what God has called me to do...all while knowing, it’s just the beginning! Someday one day I’ll have a whole creative team with a massively inspiring creative space where all of us creative nuts can create creative creations for the glory of God! 😁

#DailyDownload Thur May 17, 2018

In today’s #DailyDownload I share with you how I was personally challenged by my own message of rejection yesterday as I was confronted with a bunch of “unfollows” from people I’ve walked alongside for years. I confess, I wanted to QUIT! I share with you my personal study of learning to encourage myself in the Lord {just as David did in 1 Samuel 30:6}. I also give you some worship songs that have been ministering to me and some YouTube messages that have been encouraging me through the processing.

Wonderfully empowered by 1 Thessalonians 2:4, “For we speak as messengers approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News. Our purpose is to please God, not people. He alone examines the motives our our hearts.”

Feel free to share this message with a friend :)

12 Qualities of Kingdom Leaders

We all know the scripture that says, "There's wisdom in the multitude of counsel" (Proverbs 11:14), right? But the truth I've found is that it's important to choose our counselors wisely. Though scripture tells us that we are to submit to authorities and leadership, it also cautions us to guard our hearts because out of it flow the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23). Giving access to our hearts to people solely based on their title or position can be incredibly destructive if not done so with discernment. This morning I asked God to reveal qualities of a leader who leads with Kingdom values in accordance with His anointing. In a matter of moments, He downloaded the following list:

THESE ATTRIBUTES ARE UNIVERSAL FOR CHRIST-FOLLOWING LEADERS IN EVERY SPHERE OF INFLUENCE:
